Farm holidays in Lana
Welcome to the Malojerhof! - New opening february 2024
Our idyllic farm is located in Lana at 300 metres above sea level. Nestled in lush orchards, here you will find the harmonious combination of nature and the conveniences of a lively village, such as many shopping opportunities. The Malojerhof has its roots in 1701 and has been passed down from generation to generation. In the past, Malojerhof offered rooms with breakfast, now we would like to bring this tradition back to life with the charming concept of farm holidays.
Thanks to our strategic location, you can reach most sights and excursion destinations comfortably and quickly by car, bus or train. In addition, we offer an extensive network of cycle paths.
Spacious and high quality flats
Our lavish flats (75 sqm) are furnished to a high standard, because we want our guests to be able to unwind during their holiday. A second bathroom for the children grants parents some peace and privacy, so that both parents and children can relax.

History and crest
The roots of the Telser family are located in the picturesque Vinschgau Valley, more precisely in the village of Tanas. Our ancestors, the Telsers, once had the honourable task of defending Churburg Castle as knights under the patronage of the Swiss bishops. It was during this time that our family was given the crest, proudly emblazoned with the knight's helmet.
With the changes in the ownership of the Churburg Castle, the services of our knights were no longer needed over the centuries. As a gesture of recognition and thanks for their loyal service, the last knight of the Telser dynasty was bequeathed a small farm in Matsch. Hence our great-great-grandfather was given the significant nickname "Robber knight from Matsch". But he was dissatisfied with the conditions at that time and the limited revenues of this farm.
In the hope of better opportunities, great-grandfather Mathias Telser left his homeland and found work in Switzerland. With the earnings from his hard work abroad, he finally went to Lana and acquired a farm there, the "Zochengut".
